That is exactly the gap we set out to close. River Rock Reserve and The Treehouse sit on adjoining land in Morganton, Georgia, sharing a private pond along a common property line. Together, the two cabins comfortably sleep up to 26 guests, giving large groups something genuinely rare in the North Georgia mountains: two full luxury cabins close enough to share a single gathering, private enough that nobody feels like they are sleeping in a hallway.

Two Distinct Cabins, One Shared Setting

River Rock Reserve sits on 10 acres and sleeps up to 14 across 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It is built around a private 1.25 acre stocked lake, with a hot tub, barrel sauna, waterside boulder patio, and a full lineup of paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and a paddleboat. There is a game room, an outdoor kitchen, and fireplaces both indoors and out.

The Treehouse, our treehouse style log cabin next door, sleeps up to 12 as well, across 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It leans into a different feel entirely: vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, a newly renovated game lounge with air hockey and shuffleboard, a covered wraparound deck with a slide down to the forest floor, and a secluded hot tub tucked into the trees. Guests consistently mention how spacious and family friendly the layout feels, and it has earned Guest Favorite status on Airbnb with a 4.99 rating.

Both cabins sit along the same pond, and when a group books both properties together, that shared pond becomes part of the stay for everyone, not just the guests at River Rock Reserve. Morning coffee on one porch and evening s'mores on the other become part of the same gathering. Pond access is reserved for River Rock Reserve or guests booking the full compound together. Standalone Treehouse bookings do not currently include pond access, though that is set to change in 2027.

Why Two Cabins Beats One Big House

Large group rentals usually force a tradeoff. Either everyone piles into one enormous house with paper thin walls between bedrooms, or the group splits across two unrelated properties in two different towns and loses the "we're all here together" feeling entirely.

A shared compound solves both problems. Each cabin keeps its own kitchen, its own living room, its own hot tub, and its own quiet corners, so multigenerational families or mixed groups of coworkers actually get real separation when they want it. But the pond, the shared grounds, and the short walk between properties keep everyone connected for meals, games, and evenings around the fire.
